2/2/2023 0 Comments Uniden zachary t manual![]() ![]() I know I live in the BYU with alligators but I don't want my radio to be one too. I love the transmit on the President Zachary, it performs great with excellent audio and the limiter is intact but this receive is killing me. I am assuming that it's some sort of an issue with the radio itself. I thought maybe the speaker was the culprit so I hooked up an external speaker. Then I hooked up a Uniden Grant XL and I had the same results. I then hooked up a Connex 4300HP and the recieve was 100 times better. ![]() I checked jumpers and coax and even used a homemade sniffer to try and find any electrical interference. A Wilson 1000 with better receive than a 24' Imax 30' up in the air?Īt first I thought that it might be the antenna, coax or even some electrical interference in the house. The receive in the mobile was much better. I first noticed the recieve issue when I was in my mobile in the driveway. There will be 15 to 30 light grey 10V electrolytic capacitors, these fail. 'The most common problem with these 80s / 90s Unidens (except for the golden screwdriver syndrome) is the '10 volt blues'. ![]() Post by lbcomms » Sunday 17th Feb 2013, 0:48. Without a doubt I know it's effecting my receive on distant stations. (Uniden) I will try to get this tranceiver from 1978 to work 100. I can hear them but I can also still hear the static. When I get a contact, even local, the static is carried in with their transmission. It seems like there is a lot of static in the receive. I have notice that the receive in this radio is not up to par with my other radios. ![]()
